This course educates healthcare professionals on teaching diabetic patients on how to take care of themselves and their needs associated with the disease. Learners will be able to discuss the key principle of diabetes self-management and why glycemic control is imperative. He or she will be able to discuss diet strategies used to control blood sugar and discuss the success rate of self-management among diabetes patients.
