Course Description

This course covers the Ebola virus, it’s deadly nature and the recent outbreak in the United states. Users will be able to define Ebola, describe its epidemiology, and recognize the signs and symptoms of the disease. Healthcare workers will understand the modes of transmission and the key questions that patients need to answer when determining whether an infection may be present. They will also be able to describe precautions that must be taken by nurses and other health professionals who come in contact with an Ebola infected patient.
