While children are people, a pediatric patient should not be handled the same way as you would an adult. This course covers how to care for smaller patients, how to approach the triage process and how to apply the pediatric assessment triangle during pediatric emergencies. You will be able to identify the top pediatric emergencies and discuss the unusual appearance of pediatric illnesses or injuries.
