RN Requirement:
30 contact hours each 2-year period immediately preceding renewal.

CRNP Requirement:
30 contact hours each 2-year period immediately preceding renewal. CRNPs with prescriptive authority are required to have a minimum of 16 of the 30 contact hours in pharmacology.

LPN Requirement:
No general CE requirement.

Special Requirement for ALL health related licenses:

Effective January 1, 2015, all persons applying for issuance of an initial license shall be required to complete 3 hours of DHS - approved training in child abuse recognition and reporting requirements as a condition of licensure.

Additionally, effective with the first license renewal after January 1, 2015, all health - related licensees and funeral directors applying for the renewal of a license issued by the Board shall be required to complete at least 2 hours of Board - approved continuing education in child abuse recognition and reporting requirements as a condition of renewal.

CNA Requirement:
Required to work for pay as a nurse aide in a nursing environment such as a nursing home, hospital or home health setting for at least eight hours during the previous 24 months of enrollment in the nurse aide registry.
