CE Requirements

The Pennsylvania Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs and the Department of Human Affairs requires all healthcare professionals, including nurses, to complete 3 hour Child Abuse: Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Training course for initial licensure. Once licensed a 2 hour Child Abuse: Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Training course is required to be completed for license renewal.

In addition to the Child Abuse requirement, RNs are required to complete 30 contact hours every two years. CRNPs with prescriptive authority are required to have a minimum of 16 of the 30 contact hours in pharmacology.
