30 hours for RN licensure, 30 additional hours specific to the area of advanced practice specialization, 5 of which must be related to pharmacology. 3 of the 5 hours must be in either opioid prescribing, pain management, or substance abuse disorder. Current certification in specialty will meet requirements for 30 continuing education hours for RN licensure. 400 hours active in practice specialty in 4 years immediately preceding date of application. If you are a newly graduated APRN within the last 2 years, program coursework and clinical count for first renewal.

Special Requirements

For licensees with an active DEA #for prescribing in New Hampshire 3 of the 5 pharmacology hours must address opioid prescribing, pain management, or substance abuse disorder.

All Occupational Therapy licenses expire December on 31 in every odd-numbered year. 24 hours of continuing education must be completed within the 24 month period preceding the license renewal deadline.

Special Requirements

Physical agent modalities shall be used only by licensees holding a PAM certificate authorizing the use of both of the following modalities:
(1) Ultrasound modalities, including phonophoresis; and
(2) Electrical stimulation modalities, NMES, TENS, iontophoresis and HVGS.
