In order to recertify, a nurse's aide must document one, eight (8) hour shift for compensation as a CNA or in a position providing direct personal/nursing care during the two year period immediatley preceding the current expiration date.

Completion of a minimum of fifty (50) contact hours of continuing education within the preceding twenty-four (24) month period. Continuing education shall be in an area of the APRN’s practice; reflect the professional needs of the licensee in order to meet the health care needs of the public; include at least five (5) contact hours of training or education in pharmacotherapeutics; and include at least one contact hour of training or education in each of the following topics:

  1. diseases, including, but not limited to, acquired immune deficiency syndrome and  human immunodeficiency virus
  2. risk management
  3. sexual assault
  4. domestic violence
  5. cultural competency
  6. substance abuse
On and after January 1, 2020, may include not less than two contact hours of training or education during the first renewal period in which continuing education is required and not less than once every six years thereafter in diagnosing and treating cognitive or mental health conditions, including, but not limited to, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, delirium, related cognitive impairments and geriatric depression

ATs shall maintain BOC-certification. BOC requires Athletic Trainers to complete 50 CEUs within the 2-year reporting period.  One (1) CEU is equivalent to one (1) contact hour. The certification maintenance period expired 12/31 of odd-numbered years

CEUFast is unable to provide continuing education to Respiratory Care Practitioners.
Special Requirements
Qualifying continuing education activities include, but are not limited to, courses, including online courses, offered or approved by the American Association for Respiratory Care, regionally accredited institutions of higher education, or a state or local health department.

 In Connecticut, there are currently no formal educational requirements for medical assistants. However, medical assistants are expected to receive and maintain certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
