New Jersey CE Requirements (RN, LPN)

The New Jersey Board of Nursing requires all RNs and LPNs to complete 30 hours of continuing education every 2 year renewal period to maintain an active license.

Note: All RNs must complete (1) credit of continuing education each renewal concerning prescription opioid drugs, including alternatives to opioids for managing and treating pain, and the risks and signs of opioid abuse, addiction, and diversion.

A licensee may carry over up to 15 additional continuing education contact hours into the next renewal period.
