North Dakota Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Advanced Practical Registered Nurse (APRN) and can now automatically report CEs on CEUfast through CE Broker, a nationwide CE tracking and management system.
Once you enable automated reporting, your CEs will be electronically sent to the North Dakota Board of Nursing immediately after you pass a course test.
As of September 4th of 2020, per the North Dakota Board of Nursing, “CE Broker is now the official CE tracking system of the North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON). This tracking system will enable the NDBON CE audit activities to be conducted seamlessly through electronic verification of CE for each licensee audited.”

To enable the feature on CEUfast, go to the “Edit Profile” section of your CEUfast account to add your North Dakota nursing license number. Remember, the license information on your CEUfast account must match exactly with the information on file with CE Broker for your license to be validated. Be careful entering in this information so ensure your credits will be accurately reported.

The North Dakota Board of Nursing RN, LPN and APRN CE requirements for license renewal are as follows:
RN, LPN, APRN Requirement:
- 12 contact hours within the preceding two years.
- If you recently received your first license in North Dakota and took an examination to receive it, and this is your first renewal of that nursing license, you are not required to have completed CE Courses.
- If you received your first license in North Dakota by an endorsement from another state in the year you are renewing, you must still complete 12 contact hours for renewal of your nursing license.
APRN with Prescriptive Authority, Special Requirement:
- Must complete 15 contact hours of education during the previous two (2) years in pharmacotherapy related to scope of practice. APRN contact hours may fulfill the registered nurse renewal CE requirement.
