Per IC 35-48-3-3.5, beginning July 1, a practitioner must have 2 hours of CE in opioid prescribing and opioid abuse in order to renew a CSR. The hours must be from an approved sponsor and can count toward the 8-hour pharmacology requirement. If an APRN holds multiple CSRs, the 2 hours will count for the renewal requirement for all of them.
