Broward College has advised that after "admission, students are required to complete certificate courses; CAE0216 (HIV/AIDS), CAE0660 (TB/OSHA/Hepatitis), CAE0062 (CPR Basic Life Support American Heart Association approved), CAE0441 (Domestic Violence), CAE0528 (Prevention of Medical Errors), and CAE0644 (Florida Laws & Rules for Nursing and Respiratory Care). All Certificates are to have Florida Board of Nursing (FBN) approval shown by FBN number."
Please Note: To satisfy the CAE0660 requirement, complete the following three (3) courses:
Tuberculosis - 2 hour
OSHA: Occupational Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens - 2 hours
Hepatitis C - 2.5 hours
The following list of courses are suggested as being those needed to satisfy the remaining certificates needed; however, we always recommend verifying this information with the college:
CAE0528 - Medical Errors - 2.5 hour
CAE0441 - Domestic Violence - 3 hour
CAE0216 - AIDS/HIV - 1 hour OR AIDS/HIV - 2 hour
CAE0644 - Florida Law and Rules - 3 hour
