Massachusetts RN & LPN CE Requirements

RNs and LPNs shall earn fifteen (15) contact hours of continuing education every two (2) years (excluding those renewing for the first time) for licensure renewal.

Special Requirements:

  • Domestic and Sexual Violence: At least one (1) of the fifteen (15) hours must address Chapter 260 requirements for Sexual and/or Domestic Violence. Massachusetts provides this required course for licensees here.

Pursuant to chapter 220 of the acts of 2018, as of November 7, 2018, applicants for initial licensure must complete a one-time course of training and education in the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with cognitive impairments, including, but not limited to, Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

What are the CE requirements for Massachusetts nurses?

Massachusetts RNs must complete 15 contact hours of continuing education every two years for license renewal (excluding first-time renewals). Can Massachusetts nurses meet all their state requirements with CEUfast?
