2 Contact Hours

This course provides CNAs and HHAs with essential training on OSHA fire safety and hazardous materials protocols in healthcare settings. It covers emergency evacuation planning, identifying fire and chemical hazards, infection prevention practices, home safety assessments, and oxygen safety to support safer care environments for patients and staff.

Care of the Patient with Cerebral Palsy

1 Contact Hour

This course provides CNAs and HHAs with practical guidance for supporting individuals with cerebral palsy. It covers the different types of cerebral palsy, safe positioning and transfer techniques, assistive devices, and daily care strategies. Emphasis is placed on promoting mobility, emotional well-being, and effective communication with patients and their families.

Pain Assessment and Management: Massachusetts

2 Contact Hours including 2 Advanced Pharmacology Hours

This course covers comprehensive pain assessment and management strategies, including safe opioid use, non-pharmacologic treatments, and age-specific considerations. It also addresses opioid addiction and the use of antagonists in clinical practice.

Laws and Rules: Florida Respiratory Care Board

2 Contact Hours

This course reviews the scope of practice, licensure requirements, and ethical responsibilities for respiratory therapists in Florida. It also outlines key regulations, sources of legal guidance, and common violations that may lead to disciplinary action.

OSHA: Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens

This course reviews key strategies to prevent and manage exposure to bloodborne pathogens in healthcare settings. It covers standard precautions, safe injection practices, and post-exposure protocols for HBV, HCV, and HIV to support safer clinical environments.
