New Courses


Patient Rights for CNAs and HHAs

1 Contact Hour

Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and autonomy. This course explores the essential principles of patient rights and the key responsibilities CNAs and HHAs hold in protecting those rights. Learners will review confidentiality, the right to refuse treatment, and mandated reporting obligations to ensure ethical and compassionate care delivery.

Understanding Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Disorders

1 Contact Hour including 1 Advanced Pharmacology Hour

Caring for children with neurodevelopmental disorders requires awareness, early identification, and evidence-based intervention. This course provides an overview of major pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders, including their risk factors, screening tools, and treatment approaches. Participants will gain practical knowledge to support effective assessment and care planning.

Burn Wounds in Adults

2 Contact Hours

From thermal injuries to complex wound management, understanding burn care is critical in improving outcomes. This course guides healthcare professionals through the classification, assessment, and treatment of burn wounds in adults, including pain management and referral criteria. Participants will learn evidence-based approaches for dressing selection and recovery support.

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS): When Standing Becomes a Struggle

1 Contact Hour including 1 Pharmacology Hour

Standing should not be a challenge, but for individuals with POTS, it often is. This course examines the pathophysiology, symptoms, and diagnostic process of postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Learners will explore both pharmacological and lifestyle-based management strategies to improve patient function and quality of life.

Restraint Use for CNAs and HHAs

1 Contact Hour

Providing safe, respectful care sometimes means managing challenging behaviors without compromising patient dignity. This course examines when and how restraints may be used appropriately within the CNA and HHA scope of practice. Learners will review de-escalation techniques, restraint types, and the legal and ethical considerations that guide their use in patient care.

Adverse Reactions to Contrast Agents: Dispelling the Myths

1.5 Contact Hours including 1.5 Advanced Pharmacology Hours

Contrast agents are vital diagnostic tools, but their use comes with potential risks that healthcare professionals must understand. This course separates fact from misconception, offering evidence-based insight into recognizing, preventing, and managing adverse reactions. Participants will explore risk factors, allergic responses, and the pharmacodynamics behind contrast-related complications.

Medication Allergies Versus Side Effects: What Nursing Professionals Need to Know

1 Contact Hour including 1 Pharmacology Hour

Not all medication reactions are alike, and knowing the difference can be life-saving. This course clarifies how to distinguish between true allergic responses and common side effects or adverse drug reactions. Nurses will learn to identify, manage, and prevent these reactions through clear assessment strategies and evidence-based care plans.

Long-Term Care Nursing: Medication Pass

1.5 Contact Hours including 1.5 Pharmacology Hours

Accuracy and attention to detail are critical when administering medications in long-term care settings. This course reviews safe medication preparation and administration techniques while addressing common causes of medication errors. Participants will explore best practices, including infection control measures, Beers List criteria, and strategies to reduce activity-based errors..
