24 contact hours.

Special Requirement:
All licensee and certificate holders are required to complete at least one contact hour of Category A for renewal. This contact hour must be directly related to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and the rules of the Ohio Board of Nursing. Effective February 1, 2009, to qualify as Category A, the CE must be approved by an Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN) approver, or offered by an OBN approved provider unit headquartered in the state of Ohio.

CTP held for less than a full renewal period must complete at least 6 contact hours in advanced pharmacology. Those holding CTP for a full renewal period must complete at least 12 contact hours in advanced pharmacology. These contact hours are in addition to the regular 24 needed for regular renewal.
