Nevada CE Requirements (RN, LPN)

The Nevada Board of Nursing requires all RNs and LPNs to complete 30 contact hours of continuing education every 2 year renewal period to maintain an active license. These Nevada CE requirements ensure nurses stay current with clinical standards and licensing expectations.

Topic specific Nevada requirements include:

Four (4) hours of Cultural Competency every renewal (counts within the required 30 hours).
Four (4) hours of Bioterrorism continuing education (one time requirement).
Two (2) hours of HIV stigma/bias (SB 439): within 2 years if you provide or supervise emergency medical services in a hospital or primary care setting.
